An organization dedicated to the study of geysers and related geothermal features in Yellowstone and throughout the world. Issues a lavishly-illustrated bimonthly publication, the Sput (paper and/or pdf format), plus a technical journal every few years with detailed information. A DVD spanning the nearly 30 years of the Sput is available. GOSA also offers digital copies of reports containing detailed documentation of thermal features. A must-join organization for all who have visited Yellowstone and become enraptured with its geysers, mudpots and hot springs.

Located at the entrance to Moose Lake State Park, Moose Lake, MN. Moose Lake Agate Days Celebration, the principal annual event for Lake Superior agates is held in Moose Lake, MN in July. They have a cycling slide show of Lake Superior agate types consisting of images from the agate books database.
